The Indian Quizzing League

The Indian Quizzing League, Chennai (or IQL) is a non-profit organization aimed at spreading the concept of knowledge sharing in the country and also provide a forum for quiz enthusiasts to present their skills and quiz regularly.

The Indian Quizzing League, or IQL, is a quizzing league based in Chennai. India. A group of four quizzing enthusiasts - Karthik Narayan, Ananthakrishnan Ganapathy, Ananthashankar and Vijay Govindarajan from Chennai, being members of the Quiz Foundation of India, took the first step in creating a new quizzing group in late 2007. The idea was to form a quiz group to change the face of quizzing beyond the normal winners. The idea became reality when the group met for its first public quiz meet on January 12, 2008

So far the group has grown to around 10 regular members who meet every Saturday at 17.30 P.M. for a quiz conducted by one or two of its members at the Cafe Coffee Day outlet in the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras campus.

Members of the IQL organise and conduct quizzes for a number of schools, colleges and companies based in and around the city.

There is no membership fee required to attend the meetings. Membership online is available here

IQL goes on the concept of knowledge sharing, whereby in each meeting, aspects other than quizzing are presented and shared with each other.

The IQL group has its own blog here
